EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks has revealed all about her new role in a dark new murder mystery show.

The actress plays a detective in the show, which is called The Murder Pact. The show follows the story of a group of people who get caught up in a murder investigation.

Brooks said she was drawn to the role because it was so different to anything she had done before.

"I've never played a detective before," she said. "It's a really dark role, but it's also a really interesting one. I'm really enjoying playing her."

The Murder Pact is set to air on BBC One later this year.

Brooks is best known for playing Janine Butcher in EastEnders. She left the soap in 2014, but she returned in 2018. She is also set to appear in the upcoming spin-off series EastEnders: The Slaters.
